It will be like the xbox and the ps2.
Sony will still take care of the ps3 for a couple of years. they will drop the price to 200$ to 150$ and to 100$. with even cross buy they could make it really appealing for the user.
like the dvd/blueray disney did. you wont really need it but you'll say to yourself maybe i will make the jump.
in the mid time microsoft will stop is support like they did for the xbox, to force people to move on.
and the ps3 will come out of its theoric grave to eat whats left of the 360 leg in america.
