well i can tell you that as someone with over 300 cars in their garage ( with almost 200 of those being standards ) and having played the game for months that generally cars do not look like that

maybe my eyes need to be checked or i suppose its possible that the standard cars that i use have more detail than those people criticise 

Pretty much have all the standard cars in the game and a lot of them do barely look better then their GT4 counterparts.
