I only use Lon'qu on my 3rd file, as a wife to Olivia. They have a nice support dialouge (this is how I chose 90% of my couples), probably Olivia's best if not tied with Libra's. It's ironic that he's so afriad of woman yet Indigo is so woman crazy.
Once he get's Amatsu (Ragnell just has too few uses to spend Hammerne on) he's pretty awesome, I run Myrmidon->Wyvern Rider/Griffon Knight->Swordmaster with him. And for skills I go Astra/Swordfaire/Lancebreaker/Vantage/Deliverer. That covers his Lance weakness and he gets a bump in movement. His only fault is lack of self healing and low def of 31, which is semi fixed by dodging via his speed, tho his resistance is acceptable at 36. But to hell with non magic males shitty res growths ;p.
I've only Hard/Classic on my third file, my 2nd is on Chapter 20 Lunatic so I should restart my third file soon for a Lunatic run and see how he does.

Yeah I mean Taguels and Manaketes. Just their weapons are too weak, and Nowi is too slow sadly.
I may have to use Lon'qu more, but Owain was only slightly behind him when he joined, but like 13 levels lower, so I'm using him as my Swordmaster now.
