But we know it's 40 Mtriangles at 100 MHz and 160 Mtriangles at 400 MHz, so resident evil revelations must have done at least 110 million triangles until Devs can push new games further. And the difference between the 3DS & HD version doesn't look that different from the screenshots I have seen of the HD version. Plus Spider-Man Edge of Time wasn't rush, well maybe it was on the 3DS. I know that Sonic Generations was rush on the 3DS version of the game, but it still came out real good looking. And I know Super Mario 3D Land & Mario Kart 7 was rush to meet the first November. Plus even though the 3DS is much more easy to develop for, it takes a lot more longer to develop games then it would for the Wii. So basically the 3DS is easier to develop for, for faster development but also takes a lot more longer to develop for. I believe this speaks volumes. Another example is Rodea the Sky Soldier which had the Wii version finish development back in June or July 2011, but the 3DS version is still in development. So comparing Rodea the Sky Soldier on both the Wii & 3DS to each other should be the best way to show the difference. |
Where's your proof 3DS has "better" (as in more powerful) architecture?
Or that game development takes longer than the Wii? Rodea doesn't prove it, the 3DS version was likely added after Wii production had already begun. There's no reason for 3DS development to take longer than Wii. The 3DS uses industry-standard shaders devs are familiar with, Wii uses a weird different method, hence Wii is harder.
The HD version of Revelations doesn't look much better because they're not making the effort to bring it up to high level PS3/360/Wii U standards.
And spiderman was definitely a rush; if they'd actually tried it wouldn't look so far behind the Wii's best looking games.
