Most likely an industry-changing game would have to be a huge success, and I mean huge. By huge success I mean 'bring in lots of money'. It also has to be different from what we already have. The only game mentioned in this thread even potentially fitting the description, in my opinion, is Destiny, and I'm quite unsure about it because we still don't know much about it. Right now no other games come to my mind which means I'm either forgetting something or no other potential industry-changers have been announced yet. And then, of course, there's always the chance that some game will surprise everyone and become hugely popular out of nowhere.
