I suppose. I checked EU sales and VGC has it much higher than I remembered. I won't apply logic to NoA's localization decisions, but I think it would have a larger impact on XSeed. That said, I imagine that XSeed would have brought them over anyways, but it might have incentized them to bring them over faster (while the internet remembered the titles and the effort behind it).
