I noticed a lot of people talking about LSD : Dream Simulator recently, how did this game get popular after being a VERY obscure PS1 lunch title ?

I remember having this when I first got a PS1, I first thought its a tech demo of sorts, but it is kind of like a bizzare experience kind of game, very unique.

now it got suddenly popular again a decade later, what triggered this ? , I've seen it a lot on youtube.
