There have been 4 Uncharted vs how many Mario?  There are 9 core 2D Mario games alone (Not counting Doki Doki Panic).  1 of them wasn't released here initially since it was too similar to the previous one.

To Carl, honestly I wouldn't have cared so much, if the game was going to cost less than 40 dollars.  That's what's pissing me off, they're qiuckly throwing a game together for a cash in, and I'm supposed to be happy with this?  It's like all those re-releases of Final Fantasy 4 (Except that company is in bad shape because of the way they're handling their properties).

Nice.

Great comparison. 4 Uncharted games versus 9 Mario games. Sadly, those four Uncharted games were released during a single generation while those 9 Mario games are released over a span of 6 (six) generations.

Look, I like Uncharted and I think it's one of the best things to have come out of the 7th gen, but it doesn't get any more innovative with each title. At least Nintendo took their time to release a similar game. To say Nintendo only ever rehashes games over and over again is plain untrue, since every single entry in the franchises that matter (3D Mario, Zelda, Metroid and the like) bring vastly different experiences with each new entry. If you say otherwise, then you have not played these games.

And 4 of those 9 games were released in 6 years, there were 4 Uncharted's 5, pretty even if you ask me.  But look; I'm not saying Mario only rehashes games, I'm saying they've recently been relying on it.  This entire Nintendo Direct (Please correct me as I haven't watched it), but what was announced?  Zelda Altp 2, Yoshi's Island 2, Mother, and a translation of a game.  What has come out for the Wii U?  Mario Party 9: Nintendo Land (Though i haven't played Nintendo Land yet, so let me know if that comparison is terrible), New Super Mario Bros. U and what else?  An updated port of a Zelda game and a repackaging of Kirby's Epic Yarn.  On the 3DS side of things, Mario Kart 7, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Luigi's Mansion 2, Mario 3D Land (Which is essentially 2D Mario with modifications) and Fire Emblem (Whatever number this new game is).  Now this doesn't bug me as much as it's "More of the same".  Where's the wow factor?  I'm disappointed with this Zelda game because they could have done so much more.  I'm disappointed with Mario right now cause they could have done so much more with the games.  I'm disappointed more people didn't like Metroid: Other M cause it really revolutionized combat and the overal Metroid game style.  This is what's bugging me with Nintendo, they can do so much more, they have the talent, they have the money to expand, but what are they doing?  Playing safe bets, why should we be content with that?
