Wrong.
Gears isn't just a prequel, its a spin off from a different developer and has less in common with Gears3 than what GOWA has with GOW3. GOWA had its own super bowl commercial, do you have any idea how expensive they are... MS isn't expecting big numbers from gears where Sony clearly expected big things from GOWA. I would call GOWA a flop, but GearsJ, not so much.
