| Lulz said: I actually don't get the whole tablet craze. I own 2 of them. A brand new iPad and a Galaxy Tab. My 3 year old daughter uses both of them more than I do. For gaming a 3DS, Vita or laptop is better. For work PCs are better. Try editing a spreadsheet with complex forumlas on a tablet, or editing a photo properly. For the mobile aspect of them, smartphones are more mobile and have all the same functionality. I don't get it. The only thing I use mine for is reading comics. I basically paid $500 for a glorified comic reader. Tablets seem like a jack of all trades, but master of none. I'm not sure how long it will take the market to realize this. |
It probably never will, because most people use their personal computers for non-work purposes, and prefer the bigger screen for casual browsing/e-mail/movies/streaming etc.
What I don't get are the weirdos who use their tablet for work purposes. I've heard of lawyers who've replaced their desktop/laptop with a tablet. That sounds horrific to me...
