Among many hundreds of other titles, the Playstation would not have had Final Fantasy 7 or 8, Xenogears, Parasite Eve, Chrono Cross, Resident Evil 2 or 3, or Metal Gear Solid if N64 went CD.
The N64 would have had those games along with Goldeneye 007, Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 64, and Banjo Kazooie.
