As far as I've known, they are the same game.

VC will be an exact replica of N64 copy. However, you can then get it at a reduced rate of $2 when it launches on WiiU VC which will add some features such as game state saves and gamepad playability.

DS version of course is already portable and frankly, I have no clue if anything was upgraded. But free + $2 later is a lot better than the $$ on DS.


The Ds version doesn't have analog stick support so you will have to play using the stylus to run.  It works pretty well however.  The Ds also supports multiplayer.  The graphis are, well different.  I kinda remember liking the Ds graphics the best.

 

I believe the DS version also has additional characters and stars, no?
