Not sure. I was never into indiana jones so i dont know what it has done. I dont think it would give people hate for Unharted though. It is inspired by Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones but just because it is similar doesnt mean it cant stand on its own.

Ya I think they did in the movie. And yeah Uncharted can totally stand on it's own, but It would just give people more reason to shit on uncharted.

it's done in indiana jones: and the last Crusade. They have the drinking from the grail and if you drink from the wrong one you melt (sort of).
While it can stand on its own, I think it would be better to not do something that heavily inspired uncharted in the first place. Particularly when there's other things, that haven't been done nearly as much as the holy grail.
