Its an observation that I noticed early on in the gen as well.
PS2 was quite simply a beast when it came to software sales, it was more prominent that the 360 and PS3 in every single franchise with the only exception being Call of Duty.
However, a lot of these PS2 games simply haven't transitioned well this gen, exclusive or not, they still would have failed.
