Sorry about that. I don't know what it is about your ballots that keeps throwing me off. It's weird, because when I double check everybody else's, I think I do a decent job. Huh.
I don't know what to think of Microsoft's NextBox strategy. They abandoned the hardcore for the casual, which I understand, but according to the rumors, the Nextbox has 8 GB of RAM and is only slightly weaker than the PS4. Does a casual audience really need 8 GB of RAM? Hell, I honestly think Gen 8 should have limited itself to 4 GB of RAM, considering the slow start of the HD twins in 2005 through 2008.
As for the Vita, it has a major fanbase around these parts, even besides the general PlayStation fandom. Plus, Sony has done a better job highlighting upcoming games than Nintendo has. Fans are already hyped about games such as Tearaway and Killzone, months before they're coming out. And Soul Sacrifice is coming out in April, so this is its high point in hype. Nintendo, on the other hand, has nothing major until June, when Animal Crossing comes out, and only two announced titles for the second half of the year, the highly anticipated yet mysterious Pokemon X/Y and the equally mysterious Mario & Luigi 4.
As Soul Sacrifice comes out this month, that alone could push the 3DS ahead. Failing that, a few announced localizations from 3rd parties (Monster Hunter 4, Bravely Default, Dragon Quest 7, etc.) and the seemingly inevitable Zelda 3DS announcement (plus Kirby 3D) should push Nintendo far ahead come this E3.
