It's funny 'cos Nintendo are the ONLY ones consistently profiting vastly from every gen. Unlike both Sony and Microsoft, who -even though PS3 and X360 are profitable right now- have lost billions on their gaming divisions, overall.

This can't be stated often enough around here (apparently).  On a site that has it's focus on numbers some people just don't look at the numbers.  People seem to forget that despite all the rhetoric the Videogame industry is not actually a giant dick-swinging contest, it's about making profit.  Nintendo doesn't need to, or necessarily care about coming first, it cares about having a profitable device.

Someone needs to post that earnings by year graph (again).
