::chuckle:: Fun, fun. Another "gaming is doomed because of the Wii" thread. Why don't these insecure people realize nothing will be taken away from them. There are still people around, A LOT of people, that want the 'hardcore' games. There will continue to be a market for more in depth games. The person that likes buying 'shovelware' is not gobbling up a 'hardcore' gamer. The 'hardcore' gamer is still there, still buying games, still creating demand. ::sigh::

And it's a great sign that the Wii is now the recipient of shovelware. It's an indication of success. And Onyxmeth, you must be new to gaming, or just trying to bash the Wii. Both, Nintendo's strict quality control is what hurt their 3rd party support, and shovelware was prevalent on the PS2. Like it's been said on here already, developers and publishers don't like being told what to do. The quality control just drives them away, and the lack of quality control is what brought them to Sony.

It's so entertaining to see so many people feel the 'shovelware' is a problem. Dude, let me give you a tip, don't buy it if you don't want it. There are plenty of other good games for you to buy. Personally I've spent more money this generation than I ever have before, on the good games that have been coming out. I find this a golden age of gaming. I'll never have the time to play all the games that I want to.
