nintendo's backward compatibility always helps them out. 35mil to me is the least i see it doing. 34.3mil - 34.8mil is wat i see for this year imo. I think lifetime end around 36.5mil That $40 price still though, NSMB is worse, 8 years old game still selling for full price

Once the wiiu mariokart comes out (which may be this year) I think the drop off will be pretty bad for the wii mario kart. Still 35-36mill is incredible.

its nintendo, they have a weird way of working! NSMB2 is out but NSMB(DS) still selling high+ at full price! Then Mario Kart DS sold well last year despite MK7 coming out! When Mario Kart Wii U comes out MKWii will not drop which is crazy. Thet still got the option to drop the price down to $29.99 or even $19.99. Like I said Nintendo is crazy!

Yea those price drops won't really help much though it'll sell at such a pace that it'll be impossibe for it to reach 40 million. MAriokart ds isn't really selling high it sold like 300k last year and is gonna sell porbably half of that this year huge drop offs since 2011 for it actually for such a old game it's still selling really good, but it's probably not gonna cross anymore sales milestones. well see though.

MK DS sold almost 800k last year, but yeah it'll decrease this year to about 300-400k[sold 80k already this year] I still think MKWii will do great sales (not 40mil). It'll have like 1.2mil this year then decline to 500-600k then another 200-300k....... So yea 36.5mil lifetime
