I'm sorry but more powerful is good for a console, but it isn't the most or only important factor. The console needs to sell, which means it has to appeal to consumers and be at the right price all in relevance to competition. More power can be pretty pointless if it isn't easy to develop for like the Cell wasn't. It took a long time and a lot of money for the Cell to be "worth it" and still it isn't worth it to many publishers to go farther than they need to to run their multiplats. You don't see call of duty or assassins creed pushing the Cell like Uncharted or God of War, they take advantage of the middle ware but I doubt they'd spend the money to further optimize and make the PS3 version run better than the 360 one.
This is why PS4 is pretty exciting as it should be really easy to develop for and yet it might be the most powerful console from the big 3. If not, it still seems like a console can't be made easier to develop for than the PS4 which is at least that advantage. Maybe the cloud will make this the last console, I don't know, but it will be a while before that could happen and hardware with some power behind it will matter.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
