Normally this late in a generation I would suggest waiting for the next gen. But since the PS4 won't have backwards compatibility and the PS3 has a ton of great games I have to elan toward the PS3 as a better pit. It may not have much of a future, but the PS4's first years won't have as many games as the PS3 has and the PS4 won't play PS3 games. So, get a PS3 now and when the PS4 has games you can't live without get a PS4 then. You'll still need your PS3 to play PS3 games, but if you're done with them you can trade it in for a PS4.

I'm hoping the NextBox will be fully backwards compatible so people won't have to make the same difficult decisions.
