not talking about you specifically but i really do think that the people that i see who claim they are into gameplay oriented experiences should try more mp games or modes as i said before mp is usually just about gameplay whether its uncharted, CoD, smash bros, battlefield etc etc etc

i find it really strange maybe even contradictory that often they are the same people that hate mp 

Single player and multiplayer are too different to compare. Multiplayer is about competition. Co-op may appeal to single player fans, but I at least still prefer to play by myself and enjoy the gameplay, challenge, story, etc. alone.
