Offer a free digital download of an HD version of Xenoblade to "Wii U ambassadors" in June. |
I always enjoy your posts, Soundwave, whether I agree with them or not. I think the weak yen definitely makes Wii U price cuts in the west viable. I think it should and will happen, but not just yet. They need the software out at the same time. I think they also want to know the Sony/MS pricing strategy. Once a figure is announce, Nintendo can drop to undercut further. Personally I would like to see an imediate price drop following e3 in June. Not unlike Sony's show-stopping Playstation price cut of 1996, Nintendo should use the show floor to announce the cut of $50. I think they shouldn't just cut the Basic though, I think they should drop it all together. Not because of money, but because I think 8 gig isn't big enough. I can see trouble down the road for things like game patches and so on. Get rid of it now before too many people buy it.
