There are too many over sensitive and overly defensive people for peace to reign. One mild joke starts a flame war. Misinterpretation leads to misunderstandings that get reported and lead to warnings and banning.
Too many people have identified personally with their plastic gaming boxes to be able to take a steop back and see things from other people's perspectives.
