You've hit upon the crux of my point, technical advancement is a tangible, measurable thing, graphical improvement is not. A ten fold increase in processing does not equate to ten times better graphics. I'm not arguing the numbers, I'm arguing that the numbers are not born out in the graphical improvements we can see.
This has nothing to do with Sony, it will be same for all systems that follow.
