Even more annoying than that is when people shout down someone's opinion as if they stated it as a fact. It's probably why people use "IMO". SO they don't have to argue later about it just being their opinion.

"IMO" can make all the difference between a banned user and a not banned one.

I for one can only suggest you all to use "IMO" or "IMHO" as much as possible, especially when you're claiming something controversial.


Obviously "IMO" doesn't automatically save you from the banhammer. But it helps.
