I'm a big Epic Mickey fan myself (one of my favorite games this generation!), and I was also disappointed with how the Wii U version of Epic Mickey 2 turned out. While the framerate is definitely sub par, my biggest beef with the game is its lack of WiiMote/Nunchuck controls. Playing the game with the GamePad isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the gameplay mechanics were pretty much built around the pointer mechanics of the WiiMote.
All in all the game is fine, but there's way too many missed opportunities in The Power of Two. I've heard that despite the lack of graphical finesse, the original Wii version was the way to go.
