I believe most people were actually really happy with the change in setting and liked the American Revolution theme.
I would love to see them continue to mix it up and offer cool locations and time periods, but I've actually never played an AC game before. It just doesn't seem to have enough...content, for me. My preference in open world adventure games is more similar to the Witcher series.
