Why would that?  I dont understand.  He is running the thread now because NintendoPie wont.  That means there will be no updates and it will die off.

Tbone51 got 3rd and I voted for him as well because not only is he a cool guy but he is probably the most dedicated nintendo fan on this site with creative threads.  For someone who has only been here for like 3 months and get 3rd is pretty spectacular 

Nah it's nothing to do with that. It's just he's only been here for 2 months! He's certainly established himself well here, and I can see the logic behind him getting the position. But I don't know how the thread will do. I'd like to be proven wrong, of course.
