If I remember correctly Jack Treton went up stage and announced that it will be 299$, even tough the plan was to announce it at 399$. It was a fast decision, and that was pretty much all his speech: "299$".

I can imagine the meltdowns if they quickly changed that.

Well too bad that Sony is not as flexible and risc taker as they once where, so no, we will never see something like that ever

$600 would already be crazy.  Wasn't it annouced GT6 was being developed for the PS3 only?

Yeah I know, it would be suicidal for Sony. Seeing that they managed to launch the Vita at 250$ I doubt they will make the same mistake

ABout GT6, well I dont think that will happen, tough it could. I have to admit it that it is one of my lesser interests in the Sony library
