It actually had a couple. Myth and Monsters for GB, and some GBA releases.
Punch-out I see less of a reboot and more of a re-release of the same game. Kinda like a remake.
KI:U was a full on reboot of the franchise as Masahiro Sakurai made sure to include him in brawl redesigned as he fully wanted to make another KI game by then.
(Seriously, Smash Bros is considered S-tier here but for the sheer amount of advertising it does for some of the lesser franchises, it could be placed higher.)
