Not really, they are doing it in a different way. Putting the computer to 'sleep' rather than rebooting from cold. (But if you think about it, phones do it too. You don't boot you phone up every time to check for a message or make a call.)
Unless you are using a different computer than what I am used to. I mean like 16 seconds from turning it on to working. Most PC styled computers IME take much longer.
