Anyone with under $1000 has either been banned, or has been using it to bet on the prediction league.
The bets have not been "counted" yet so no-one has their money back.
Edit: oh there are some exceptions, such as GreyAcumen, who is $2000 under because he didn't agree with the VG$ idea and used it all by changing his avatar many times... You get $50 for adding an avatar but lose $75 for taking one down, so changing costs you $25.
