Don't know if anyone cares about this, I probably wouldn't be getting this no matter what console it appeared on.

PlayStation 4 indie title The Witness appearing on Nintendo Wii U is unlikely, according to developer Jonathan Blow.

Speaking to Kotaku this week, Blow explained that the project was initially considered to be released on a console alongside PC, and shifted towards a PS4 release due to the "relatively low system specs" of the PS3 and Xbox 360.

But what about Nintendo Wii U? Whilst there could be a possibility for a port after the PS4 release, Blow notes that "The Wii U still has pretty low system specs, so it came down to a choice between the next Microsoft console or the next Sony console."

a) It was said at the conference it was a PS4 exclusive

b) The WiiU specs are low, thus it can't due to requirements.

Nothing new here so why the thread?

Theres something new here now...You! :D   47 posts in 2 weeks nice.

OT:

a) I will leave you with a question, how many times have we seen an exclusive jump ship? when your done counting you can get back to me.

b) This is the first time we've known that the WiiU "Apparently" can't run the game.

Haha, a good point.

a) Actually it is normally very clever wording eg. exclusive release, which people mistake for "exclusive to this console period", rather than exclusives jumping ship. Normally, this is because the company signs a very expensive contract with said platform and they can not break it OR they can jump ship after a set period of time eg 2 - 3 years. I think this is what happened with Braid.

b) Erm, nope. Many devs have slated the WiiU for being too weak. The guys at4A Games (Metro 2033) were incribly scathing about it and their publishers had to do some serious damage control with the press seeing how blunt that Russia dev studio was.
