Yeah, DF comparison should be interesting to see - that link you provided shows a LOT less difference between PC and 360 versions than those shots between WiiU and 360...which is very strange, to say at least.

An interesting note, Criterion said the WiiU version would be the 'best looking version of the game by far', they didn't just say 'best looking console version'. Maybe they were able to tweak it to look even better than the PC version? That would be interesting considring how 'weak' the GPU is supposed to be. I know Nintedo has developed a custom API based on OpenGL for their GPU , maybe that is the difference between the early ports and this - using the custom API vs standard OpenGL on the early ports (standard OpenGL can run on the WiiU, but much less efficiently than the custom Nintendo API).

That's why shouldn't buy into the PR hype machine, how can it look better then the PC version, when the pc version will be 1080p, almost perfect AA and 60 fps. you can make a comparsion to witcher 2 on 360, they improved the lighting on the 360 version but it never had a chance of looking better or even coming close to the pc.

Visuals being technically better and higher resolution does not always mean they actually look beter. Maybe they did some things artistically with lighting and reflection effects combined with the high end textures that makes them think this looks better from an artistic standpoint. I've seen the PC version, and I thought the videos on from the WiiU looked prettier, maybe not technically better, but more pleasing to the eye. The videos certainly look good, both visuals and framerate. It's nearly imossile to differentiate 720P from 1080P when sitting on the couch anyway (especially if your TV isn't above 55"). I'll take gorgeous textures and lighting at 720P over generic, artistically bland visuals at 1080P any day.

I think we can't really judge at this point till we get a proper comparsion, like the video i posted or full hd pics of the same exact place at the same exact time with the same car, improving the lighting shouldn't have to do anything with power cause we saw the samething with witcher 2 on 360 having better lighting then the pc version.
