So, is Vita saved or not after today's event?

I saw GAF is so disappointed.

If the summary in our Vita event thread is correct, then the Vita isn't saved. They showed new trailers and gameplay footage for games that were already announced and added a price cut for the hardware on top of it. They had to announce new games to make the event meaningful.

The conveyed message was "This is all we've got." and that's simply not enough to turn things around. The price cut and lineup in the next two months are decent, but by the looks of it, there isn't going to be much beyond that, so weekly sales will probably be back to around 10k units quickly.

This is exactly as I felt, aside from it was more "This is all you're getting" really. It was far, far from stellar, about as I predicted really. Of course, people will spin it one way or the other, but there simply wasn't enough new stuff in it to make people really surprised and have hope that there may be some way back for the Vita on the horizon.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
