“Skyrim was generic” says Witcher 3 game Director

I beat the Witcher 2 and although it's really good I thought it was too short so hopefully having an open World will fix that. As far as Skyrim goes it may be generic but the atmosphere it has at times is amazing. I remember the first time I played it was in the middle of a snow storm which helped to make the game feel even more immersive to me.

I do agree though that it has a lot more flaws than either the Witcher 2 and Dark Souls but it is also a much more ambitious game than either of them. If Bethesda fixes even half the flaws in the next game it would put the series on a whole new level that very few games ever achieve.
