Thanks for contacting us. I first want to thank you for your active participation in Club Nintendo and your dedication to the Fire Emblem series over the years. Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question as to why your local retailers do not have stock of this game, as that has to do with the retailer and its distributor. What I can do is make sure the appropriate departments at Nintendo are aware of your situation and concerns. However, it's important to note that offering digital downloads of our games is simply a new option for fans to purchase the games they love -it's not meant to punish those who prefer to have the physical copies. Regardless of the method of purchase, we never like to hear when our fans have bad purchasing experiences. In regard to the release and available stock of Fire Emblem: Awakening, I can confirm that stock was not withheld and it's not a limited print; while we do not have a shipping schedule to offer you, stock is still being shipped. However, Nintendo's release availability does not guarantee that any given retailer will have their stock ready. It's also important to note that retailer pre-orders are generally not associated with Nintendo of America; it's up to the retailer to decide how many pre-orders to offer versus how many products to offer on store shelves. I would suggest that you continue working with your local retailer to find out when they will have Fire Emblem: Awakening available for purchase. Again, I want to assure you that your feedback will not go unheard. I sincerely hope that you're able to get your copy of Fire Emblem: Awakening soon and that you continue to enjoy our ever-expanding library of great games -however you chose to purchase them. Sincerely, Karen Johnson Nintendo of America Inc. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=47840735&postcount=2371

Very interesting. It would appear as though this problem won't go away overnight, then.
