Would they have? How many people have actually taken the time to read the digital foundary tech breakdowns?
The issue isn't the quality of games, it's that the games don't offer anything new enough to warrant buying an entire console. If you already have a 360 or PS3, why get a Wii U when you can just get it for your other console which also has all your friends on?
The Wii U, as far as I'm concered, was DOA due to it not offering a big enough improvement over the existing consoles at the end of those consoles life span.
