Most likely because there are many gamers who have little to no real interaction with females, so they, for some reason, believe that acting like a total moron makes them look cool, which it doesn't. This further adds to why they will continue to live in mommy's basement, planted in front of a monitor with their Mountain Dew and Doritos and never get a girlfriend and experience the wonders a woman can bring.
It's sad really.
