If you dont know Microsofts primary market which is children and families you're lost. You might have grown up, but Nintendo will always stay behind to usher in a new era of kids into the industry. This is why Nintendos place can never be taken by Sony and Microsoft...remember that.

Are you saying that all of those under-18 fans are playing on Nintendo systems? And the other "serious adult gamers" are playing software on Xbox and Playstation?

Not really a freudian slip, but a genuine mistake. Thanks for pointing it out though. The average age of the videogame player across all platforms is 37 if you want to be accurate. Again, Nintendos audience that they pay money to market to are children and families. If Nintendo wanted to pander to the casual audience again, they should've given them a console that gave them something that doesn't apply to what they alread have......which is an Ipad....with numerous gaming apps, its litle stylus and photoshop, and much....much more.
