Realistically, Nintendo should make a new platformer. Something to take the spotlight from Zelda and Mario. Something catered to an older audience, like InFamous or Vanquish arm (I know they aren't platformers).
I'd be happiest with an RPG though, Nintendo can make the best RPG's if they tried. They know who the good developers are (e.g. Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, XenoBlade, Final Fantasy VII, Dragon Quest IX, Golden Sun, Fire Emblem, etc).

Nintendo can't attract children with a sim. Its not fully their intention to attract serious adult gamers. Mario Kart + Fzero > GT + Forza in Nintendos eyes.

S.T.A.G.E., you need to get over this hang-up about being a "serious adult gamer." Just appreciate the diversity of video games.
Every post like the one I quoted insults thousands of grown-up video game fans who love Nintendo software.

If you dont know Microsofts primary market which is children and families you're lost. You might have grown up, but Nintendo will always stay behind to usher in a new era of kids into the industry. This is why Nintendos place can never be taken by Sony and Microsoft...remember that.
