If nintendo were to make a new ip, what genre should it be?

I picked MMO, I would have said RPG, but I think Nintendo is already fairly set to move in as the dominant RPG developer in the world in the next few years; Pokemon, Xenogears/Xenoblade game, and Fire Emblem are all very good properties; plus 3DS is destined to be the top platform for RPGs just as the DS was before it where the combined sales of RPGs exceeds 130 million - more than any other videogame console in history. What they haven't done is a Pokemon or Hyrule MMO - creating a new franchise around that would be great.

However, if you are talking completely new characters and such, it is completely unnecessary for Nintendo, and perhaps even counter-productive, given that Nintendo is the King of enduring franchises, and neglecting those in favour of something else would be undesired.
