if you choose to believe just because you want to go to heaven, its justified IMO and even a priest will tell you the same thing. that is if you want to be a part of somethig you must choose you cant just wait for it to happen and that is also justified. something wrong with this ? i dont think so :S people do always say like "god made me like this" and "no one gave me the chance" there is a chance and there is nothing wrong with that...you learn through life maybe your not such a great believer but you will learn it i takes time..at the end of our lives everyone will say "oh GOD".
no you cant force yourself to believe in something but you can get used to it after a while
and maybe who knows find yourself that you really believe on god. it can happen
