If nintendo were to make a new ip, what genre should it be?

There clearly is a point. Nintendo ip's sell on nintendo consoles. So, to prove to 3rd partys that hardcore games can indeed sell on their platforms, they should get system sellers for those genres as well. I do know that nintendo pretty much has every genre covered, but the "hardcore" market thinks different. All they see is mario. And nintendo needs to change that image.

The fact that you wrote this clearly shows you are young.

If Nintendo does create a market for a genre and sells well then 3rd parties wil use the excuse we cannot compete with Nintendo games.

But what should nintendo do then? Just sit there and think that eventually everything will be allright? If there ain't a market, they should create it themselves.
