In my oppinion nintendo needs to make a few ip's for the so called "hardcore" market to get them onboard. Personaly, I think they should set retro at making a skyrim clone. Skyrim is the type of game that really make the market talk, and also I would love to see a massive western rpg exlusive on a nintendo console.
