I'm not 100% sure about the tablet. I mean, sure, it's a great way to differentiate yourself from the market, but consider the idea that they could've made a more advanced wiimote instead. They could've sold this console for less and at the very least, people might have bought more games as a result. I'm just not sure what impact that tablet will have on the future of the console, and I'll admit this entire opinion is simply based on the initial launch, but this is a case where playing it safe might've been the best way to go. I almost feel like nintendo could've just made the Wii U and just have shipped with a pro controller and console only. You keep the regular Wii as the low cost console and let guys like Ubisoft rake in that Just Dance cash while getting royalties, then try to grab some of the market lost to the 360/PS3 with a $200 console and New Super Mario Bros U.
I mean, looking at things right now, there's no way Nintendo is gonna be able to pull of Wii numbers. At best, Nintendo should hope for 360/PS3 lifetime numbers, and that's with price cuts/sales.
