I was surprised to learn that Nintendo has an exclusivity deal with Konami regarding this game. Konami says they have been very supportive of the product. So it seems that Nintendo probably moneyhated Konami for this title, they will never learn. In the past Konami didn't hesitate to develop 3 Castlevania titles for GBA and NDS, this time they've needed an incentive.
