Nintendo never should have made another system similar to the PS3/360.
They either needed something that was a complete revolution like the Wiimote was (or at least very high on the novelty chart) or they needed to go back to the drawing board and made a more conventional system with a chipset that easily blew the 360/PS3 right out of the water from day 1.
I think the PS3/360 will dog the Wii U more than the PS4/720 actually. They'll always be cheaper with better third party support (by virtue of such a large install base that developers cannot ignore).
