Thanks. It took me about 10 or 15 minutes. Most of that time was looking for reggie photos that would fit. Although I still don't know what this gif war is all about. |
It's not a war. It's mostly just Kaz gifs and pics, but they are adding in some MS and Nintendo guys for fun. They might go a little overboard but most of them are pretty funny. Some of them have been gold. I think Nintendo fans trying to jump on the train is kind of...for lack of a better word, pathetic? Nah, just not the right kind of reaction. This hype train is for the PS4 unveil, Nintendo already released their console. The fans generated their own kind of hype and I think releasing first kind of dampened the peak of that. Sony's been down in the dumps financially for years and the PS3 launch was seen as pretty bad, so people are pretty excited for PS4 and given the rumors they might be justified in it. Kaz is also the new CEO of Sony and everyone likes him for his PlayStation work. It just kind of clicked at the right time.
For any Nintendo fans, go ahead and get your thinking caps on, but you probably won't get too many people excited just to make gifs to make yourself relevant in what crazyness is going on the PS front. Honestly Reggie makes awesome gifs, he has a lot of good expressions and they have worked out wonderfully in the Kaz ones. Like that epic gif with independance day or the Shining. So much win including his face in them.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
