It's interesting to me that former Bizarre developers are so sought after since none of their racing games were able to grow beyond niche cult following. I happen to love PGR and the Dreamcast's Metropolis Street Racer, but the rest of the world seems to not care about those games. Maybe the new MS and Sony teams can make their driving style more popular.
